No breakthroughs; no victory
– things seem to be getting worse instead of getting better?
Why are we not experiencing an open heaven, where the blessings of God would flow down to us? One of the hindrances, I believe, is our thought life. 思维 Our minds must be renewed 更新for us to have faith 信心.
If we do that which God asks us to do, God promises that we will have success in our Christian lives. We must have the right thinking so that we can enjoy His blessings福 .
Prov箴言23:7 “… thinks, so is he.”
The windows of heaven are closed over the person who thinks the wrong way. The right/divine thought life will speak things that will cause blessings to come down from heaven (Prov
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
4: 8-37, we find a woman who was barren. However, after the man of God spoke a word of deliverance, she conceived and delivered a son. The boy grew up, and one day as he was working in the field with his father, he became sick and later died. After laying the boy on the bed of the prophet, the mother prepared to go to a nearby city and speak to Elisha. Her husband asked why she was going to see the man of God. He specifically wanted to know If all were well. Her answer was a powerful illustration of positive/right speaking. She said, “All is well.” “平安无事。”
Elisha saw her coming and sent his servant to inquire of her if all were well. The servant cried out,
“Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?” “你看，书念的妇人来了！ 26 你跑去迎接她，问问她和她的丈夫与孩子都好吗。”
Her answer to these pointed questions was
“It is well.” “一切都好。”
Notice she didn’t say “the boy is dead”. She said, “All is well.” “一切都好。”She did not allow herself to speak one word of death but only words of life… “all is well.” “一切都好。”
How tempted we are just to spill all the bad news when the enemy strikes! Most of us would have begun to cry and say, “He is dead. My precious son is dead”
Not so with this woman. She said “All is well,” even though we know from verses 20-23 that the child was dead. She steadfastly guarded her lips and spoke no death.
When he came to her, Elisha ministered life to her child (vs 32-35)
I am convinced that this woman’s son lived because she did not allow words of death to come out of her mouth. She spoke only life.
The way you talk can determine whether or not the windows of heaven stay open. If you speak words of sickness, pain and diseases while you are believing for healing, your words will swing the balance of power in the favor of sickness. However, if you speak words of health and healing, the balance of power will swing toward your healing.
Matthew
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
If you agree with the sickness that is trying to come upon you, the sickness “shall be done”.
However, if you agree with the health God has purchased for you, your health “shall be done”.
Agreement has tremendous power. You can agree with sickness or with health. You can agree with poverty or with prosperity. It is up to you.
If your words agree with the undesirable circumstances that is trying to overtake you, then it will surely happen. When you speak words of agreement with adverse symptoms, death, disasters, and shortage, you strengthen their hold on your life.
If your words agree with the promises of Jesus, you strengthen the hold of the promises of God on your life. Decide that from this day forward you will say only those things that agree with the word of God. Make a commitment to use your tongue to speak words of life and not death. You must only say what God says in His Word.
